My background, Experience, and Insight in Information Technology
Working as a Tier 1 Help Desk Representative at ECS Federal, I provide technical support and assist users with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues. In this role, I developed a strong problem-solving skill, learned how to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users, and gained firsthand experience with ticketing systems, system diagnostics, and cybersecurity best practices. I also completed my Certificate in Information Technology Security and Administration, which strengthened my foundational knowledge in networking, system security, and risk management. My experience has shown me how critical security, documentation, and attention to detail are in maintaining secure and reliable IT environments.
Career Aspirations and Goals for
this Course of Study
I am currently enrolled in the
UAGC Bachelor’s Degree program in Cyber and Data Security Technology because I
want to advance my career beyond entry-level support and move into a
cybersecurity-focused role. My long-term goal is to work in cyber defense, threat
analysis, or security operations where I can actively protect systems and data
from cyber threats. Through this course of study, I hope to deepen my technical
knowledge, strengthen my analytical thinking, and gain practical skills in
cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessment, and incident response. I want to
build the expertise and confidence necessary to transition into more advanced
roles within the cybersecurity field.
This blog will document what I learn throughout this course and future courses. It will serve as a professional portfolio that demonstrates my growth in information technology and cybersecurity.
